So, who is this for? Well, the SEC actually has rules about who can invest with us and who we can talk to about specific investment opportunities.
Because we use the exemptions under Rule 506B and 506C of Regulation D, we are only permitted to work with accredited investors or investors that we have a pre-existing relationship with (more on this below).
The SEC defines an accredited investor as: an individual who certifies that they have an income of at least $200K individually or $300k together with their spouse OR an individual or couple who certifies that they have a net worth of at least $1M excluding the value of their home.
Additionally, those individuals who hold a Series 7, Series 65, or Series 82 securities license qualify as an accredited investor.
